Call us up to arrange a visit to the nursery. We look after children aged from 3 months to rising 5 years, for full or half days and for a minimum of 1 day or 2 half days per week.
Once you’ve had a look around, we give you an application folder which details the fees, arrangements and our terms and conditions. There’s also an application form for you to fill in and return to us with a £100.00 registration fee.

If your employer operates a childcare voucher scheme, you can use it to save on Income Tax and National Insurance contributions. Currently you can claim a maximum of £243.00 per month through this scheme. The amount is deducted from your gross salary by your employer before Income Tax and National Insurance and is used to provide childcare vouchers for the same amount.
We accept most childcare vouchers, which are paid directly to TMCDN and are offset against your monthly fee invoice
Nursery education grant
At The Marmalade Cat Day Nursery we currently provide 24 free funded places available for children subject to availability. These places will be allocated on a first-come, first-served basis and can be booked a term in advance. Please note for admissions for the free nursery education we have a termly intake, beginning the term following your child’s third birthday. Parents are not charged a deposit for accessing their free entitlement and provision is free at the point of delivery. Services, for example meals or additional hours are offered to parents outside of the free entitlement, and never as a condition of children accessing their free entitlement.
Session times for 3 and 4 year old funded places are as follows: Morning session runs from 8.30 to 11.30. Afternoon session runs from 13.30 to 16.30. Lunch club 11.30 to 13.30 at a cost of £12.00/day.
Child tax credits/working tax credits
Families with children can often claim Child Tax Credit, although the threshold for this has recently changed.
You can also apply for Working Tax Credit if you work but are on low pay.
How much you get from these schemes depends on your individual circumstances. Contact the tax credits helpline on 0845 300 3900 or visit:
